Apple HQ Visit to Battersea Power Station
A group of Year 12 students from The Angmering Sixth Form this week enjoyed an unforgettable visit to Apple's UK headquarters at Battersea Power Station, gaining a unique insight into one of the world’s most innovative companies.
The visit provided students with an exclusive tour of the impressive headquarters, where they experienced the inspiring workspace and learned more about Apple’s culture of creativity, collaboration and innovation.
Throughout the day, students met employees from a range of departments, including Apple Music, Apple Retail and Apple TV who shared their personal career journeys and offered valuable advice about the many pathways into the technology and creative industries.
Students discovered that careers at Apple extend far beyond software engineering, with opportunities in marketing, retail, media, content creation and business operations.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to network with Apple employees, asking questions about their experiences, career progression and the skills that employers value most.
These conversations gave students a real insight into the world of work and inspired many to think more broadly about their own future ambitions.
The visit was an invaluable experience, allowing students to explore career opportunities, build confidence and gain first-hand knowledge from professionals working in a global organisation. It was a memorable day that demonstrated the importance of curiosity, resilience and embracing new opportunities.
A special thank you goes to Paul Cosby, Computer Science Teacher at The Angmering School, for organising this fantastic opportunity and enabling students to experience such an inspiring visit.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Dominic Arnall and Lucy Churchill from “Ditch the Label,” a Brighton-based charity, for funding and leading the event. Their support made this exceptional experience possible and gave our students an invaluable opportunity to engage with industry professionals and broaden their horizons. Experiences like this help prepare our Sixth Form students for life beyond school, inspiring them to aim high and explore the many exciting career opportunities available to them.
