Exams Information
GCSE and GCE examinations 2022
The awarding bodies have designated Wednesday 29 June 2022 as a ‘contingency day’ for examinations. This is consistent with the qualification regulators’ document Exam system contingency plan: link here. The designation of a ‘contingency day’ within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations. We remind candidates that they must remain available until Wednesday 29 June 2022 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
Please contact the school if you have an appointment or are trying to book a holiday.
In the past, we have received a number of requests for holidays that have clashed with exams. Mr. Liley will not authorise holiday absence that causes absence from exams or in the immediate period before exams. Any time taken off school could be detrimental to exam outcomes.
Additional information may be found in the main corridor outside student reception nearer the time of the examination.
