Exams Information
Mock examinations are not included in this calendar , students have been emailed their individual mock timetables.
GCSE and GCE examinations 2026
Please be aware that the awarding bodies have designated Wednesday, 24th June 2026 as a contingency day. This day is reserved in the event of national or significant local disruption to exams.
All students must be available up to and including Wednesday, 24th June 2026, as an awarding body may need to reschedule an examination to this date. Do not book holidays or other appointments until after this date.
If you are considering booking a holiday or have a prior commitment, you must contact the school first.
In previous years, we have received several requests for holidays during the exam period. Please note: Mr. Liley will not authorise any holiday that causes absence from exams or occurs in the immediate period leading up to them. Missing school during this critical time could significantly impact exam performance.
Important Exam Reminders
- Know your candidate/exam number (they are the same).
- Be aware of all your exam dates and times.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your exam.
- Bring all necessary equipment in a clear pencil case.
- Only black pens may be used in exams.
Do not bring into the exam room:
- Mobile phones
- AirPods or any earphones
- Smartwatches or any watches
- Any electronic communication or storage device
- Possession of any unauthorised items is a serious breach of examination rules and may lead to disqualification.
Review of Marking
All Review of Marking (RoM) are at the candidates discretion, this can be discussed with the relevant head of department when school returns in September. Review requests must come from the candidate and not parents/ carers.
The Review of Marking form will need to be completed, signed and returned to the exams office with any relevant awarding bodies’ fee.
Review of marking requests will not be accepted until 2 September 2026, this will give you time to look at your results and decide if this is the best option for you. Please note your grade can go down as well as up.
