Year 7 Football Success

Congratulations to the Year 7 Football team who have advanced through to the U12 Sussex Schools County Shield Final after beating St Catherines (East Sussex) 8-4 In the Semi Finals.

After a prompt start Angmering found themselves with an early 3-0 lead, however a resilient St Catherines pulled a goal back just before the interval to make it 3-1 at the interval. As the second half started Angmering extended their lead to 4-1 however an action packed 10 minutes with goals at either end set up a tense finale to the game with the scores at 6-4.

After a slight change in shape the home side managed to score two late goals to secure their place in the County Shield, this is a great achievement for the team in their first season at Angmering.
