Students from Angmering Sixth Form, members of staff from NCS and Mr Bowles (Careers Manager) visited the charity for homeless people Turning Tides based in Littlehampton to hand over a cheque for £412.50. The money was raised by 6th form students sleeping outside for one night, experiencing to some extent the difficulties of rough sleeping.

Mr Bowles says "Five of our proactive 6th form students Kai, Leon, Samantha, Harry and George decided to form a Changemakers Committee back in September and with the help of NCS arranged a Big Sleep Out in aid of Turning Tides. In all 9 students took up the challenge and raised over £400."

Sophie Moore, Fundraising Officer for Turning Tides was delighted with the efforts and explained to the students that this contribution would provide breakfast for all those rough sleeping in the Arun area for 3 months.

A big thank you and well done to everyone who took part.
