Update from the smallholding project

27 Jun 22

Year 10 student Shayne Smith, who attends the smallholding every Friday, was able to take home some produce this week that he  helped plant, water and nurture over the past few weeks and months. He harvested peas, radishes and potatoes and was looking forward to sharing them with his family. A great reward for all his hard work.

Our peas seem to be a roaring success, all the students who try them say they are really sweet. On Thursday the Year 8 students picked a radish which was 10cm long!

The Year 7 group classified their 'finds' from digging over one of the areas earlier this year. Such a mix of items and we are hoping to make a mosaic from some of the crockery pieces to display in the sensory garden.
