Angmering Students’ Success at Life Saving Competition

29 Jun 22

Angmering student Jude Morris (Year 10) with partner Sophia Hendey (TLA) came 1st, and Tassia Wormald (Year 8), also an Angmering student, with partner Jack Bristow (St Oscar Romero) came 2nd at Sunday’s Junior Mixed Pairs in the Sussex Branch Annual Royal Life Saving Society UK Competition held at Windlesham House school pool.

Both Jude and Tassia had partners from other local schools for this competition and all four are members of the Littlehampton Wave Life Saving Club that train every Wednesday evening for this important life skill.

The club are seeking new members to join. Age 12+ you just need to be able to swim 50m. Now that the evenings are lighter and the weather warmer, the club is training for open water and sea rescues. Skills also include CPR techniques and training on defibrillators.
