Careers education is given a high priority to enable students to meet the considerable challenge of the world outside school. We also believe that students will make better progress if they have clear ambitions for life beyond school.
In KS3 careers education is delivered through exciting projects as part of the Futures curriculum. In year 9 there is particular focus on careers and enterprise where students are challenged to “pitch” to outside companies and attend interviews.
At KS4 students have a 6 to 8 week module on careers, working with outside employers to write a good C.V and develop their interview skills.
Mr Bowles, the Careers Manager, offers Independent Advice and Guidance through support in the curriculum and individual and group interviews. Students in year 8 and above can request an interview.
