25 Aug 22

At Angmering we know that there are few constants in life, and that has never been more evident than in the last three years whilst our GCSE and BTEC students have been preparing for and completing their Key Stage 4 courses. However, two things which remain constant are our pride in the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.

We are extremely pleased with the progress made by all our students and are delighted that the vast majority will now be able to progress to their next phase of education, training or employment as planned. The dedication and hard work of both students and staff has been superb and we are delighted that students have achieved such excellent results this year.

Individual mentions go to the following students for their exceptionally high GCSE and BTEC grades this year:

Emily Rogers (9 grade 9s and a BTEC Distinction*), Dylan Calver (6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s and a Level 2 Distinction*), Heidi Ginnaw (5 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s and a grade 5), Evie Sykes (5 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and a grade 6), Maya Harber (4 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s), Joel Nicholl (4 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s, a grade 7 and a grade 5). The following students also all gained at least 7 grades at 7 or above: Samantha Chatfield, Ella Savage, Sophie Collins, Remy Chauhan, Richard Randall, Sofia Fielder, Samantha Zebrak and Alice Carr.

The following students have made exceptional progress since they started secondary school and also deserve rich congratulations: Maz Foreshew, Titas Zabielskas, Martha Musk, Holly Wyatt, Kayleigh Edwards, Sharna Turner-Reynolds, Jessica Wright, Leah Pollard and Jaime Doherty.

Headteacher Simon Liley said “I am immensely proud of the way that the students and staff have worked together over the past two years. There have been many challenges but we have come through as a stronger community and with even greater belief in ourselves. Huge congratulations go to all of our students and we wish them all the very best as they take their next steps in education or training.”
