The Angmering School uses a totally cashless system for our catering service called ParentPay®.
The system uses an image of each student’s finger. This is not a fingerprint.
ParentPay offers you the freedom to make payments online using your credit or debit card whenever and wherever you like, safe in the knowledge that the technology used is the highest internet security available. You will have a secure online account, which can be accessed with a unique user ID and password. You can change these to something you will easily remember. ParentPay enables you to view all items available to each of your children along with relevant costs and details.
Making a payment is easy, you simply select the item to pay and follow the instructions to complete your payment. ParentPay holds an electronic record of your payments to view at a later date should you wish. No card details are stored in any part of the system. There is a daily ‘spend limit’ programmed into the system of £4.00 and a minimum top up value of £10. On request, an individual daily limit of your choice can be set, to include a school dinner and break time snacks. Please note that credit will not be available.

If your child receives free school meals then this is placed as a credit on the system for students to receive automatically.

Points System for Healthier Eating
We all know that school food improves our children’s health, behaviour and performance at school. It also sets them on the path to a healthy, productive and fulfilling future.
To get the maximum benefits, you need to eat different types of fruit and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables all contain different combinations of fibre, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. So aim to include a variety of fruit and vegetables in your 5 A DAY to get the most benefit.
To help promote the eating of healthier options and to help students be aware of what they are eating we have put a value on each of our healthier options.
- Fruit – fresh, dried, tinned 5 points
- Main meal plus starchy Carbohydrate 3 points
- Drink-water bottle or fruit juice 5 points
- Pasta King 2 points
- Yogurts 2 points
- Salad Pots – no Dressing 3 points
- Salad Pots – with dressing 3 points
- Pasta Salad 3 points
- Jacket Potato with one filling 3 points
At the end of each Term three students that has made the healthiest choices will win a £20 Gift Voucher from Sodexo which they can use on the High Street.
At our school we are committed to giving all students, whether they take a school meal or not, a consistent message about eating healthy food and support the 5 a day campaign to encourage children to eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables each day.
