Enrichment Opportunities

The Angmering History Department offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities for our students.

In addition in to the numerous trips we run, every year we organise a Holocaust Education Day for our Year 9 students. Students get the opportunity to study various aspects of the Holocaust in depth and get an amazing opporutnity to hear a Holocaust survivor recount their experiences of life during the Holocaust.

At A-level, two students are selected every year to attend the Lessons From Auschwitz programme. Students attend seminars  in London run by the Holocaust Educational Trust in preparation for a visit Auschwitz- Birkaneau concentration camp.

The History department also run ‘History Club’ every week where students who have an interest in History complete projects and research on key historical events.

For our GCSEstudents revision sessions run 4 times a week, one for each of the modules we teach at GCSE.

There is also a catch up club for homework where students can come and get help with their homework.
