Hi! Welcome to the web page for the Lavinia Norfolk Centre. We are a small but important part of the Angmering School . The Lavinia Norfolk Centre (LNC) is a fully inclusive support centre with its own range of specialist facilities including:

§ A large hydrotherapy pool

§ A fully equipped physio/fitness suite with its own physiotherapist

§ A full range of audiological testing facilities (to check hearing aids and listening skills)

§ A large computer room

§ a suite of small classrooms, some with interactive whiteboards

§ A hygiene suite

§ A medical room

For some students who have literacy or numeracy difficulties there are small teaching groups or booster groups. Students with disabilities have full access to the school’s wide range of trips, visits and sporting activities, plus additional ones we run on our own such as a French exchange for Hearing Impaired students, an Activities week in the summer holidays, Specialist Games at local and National level and an activities week to the Isle of Wight , to name just a few.

This is when we welcome all the new year 7s with statements for a day in the Lavinia Norfolk Centre. This day will include:

§ Meeting each other

§ A tour of the school

§ Meeting other students from the LNC

§ A swim in the Hydrotherapy pool

§ A session in the Physiotherapy room

§ A chance to try out our computer room

§ Some fun activities together as a group

§ Have a school lunch

You will need to bring your swimming gear. Please contact Mrs Latter on 01903 773146 if you have any queries or to make sure your taxis are organised.

Remember, too, all Year 7s come in on Wednesday 2nd July.

This team of teachers and LSAs are there to help students all through their school lives. They go into class and sign for some children; write for others; explain and write notes; listen to problems and most of all, support the learning of everyone in the class.
