Facilities
We have an area
of the school which is purpose built to provide small group teaching. The
rooms are of varying size and have interactive whiteboards and a number
of computers in each one. Students are pleased with the hygiene facilities
adapted for use by students in wheelchairs or with other physical needs.
There is also a wheelchair store where electric wheelchairs are stored and charged overnight and a number of manual wheelchairs and sports equipment are also kept there.
Adapted sports equipment is also kept within the large storage cupboards of the main room.
The Hydrotherapy Pool is large enough for limited swimming practice as well as health related exercise. The fitness suite is designed for both physiotherapy and fitness and has a range of weight resistant and cardiovascular training machines.
A small bungalow provides a life skills area, small teaching rooms and individual rooms for exams. A small room is equipped as a hearing aid and speech therapy base. Staff have a small central work base, too small for the large team of specialist staff but well equipped for refreshment breaks! A wide range of resources are managed from the Centre.
